China and Russia Hold the 24th Round of Consular Consultation
On August 11, 2026, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Long Zhou and Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Aleksey Vladimirovich Klimov co-chaired the 24th round of China-Russia consular consultation in Beijing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views mainly on the current consular landscape, China-Russia consular relations, facilitating personnel exchanges between the two countries, and protecting the safety and lawful rights and interests of each other’s citizens and institutions.
The two sides agreed to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen communication and coordination in the consular field, create safe and convenient conditions for practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges in various fields, and continue to promote the high-quality development of bilateral relations to a higher level.
