Chinese Ambassador to Norway Zhou Jingxing Extends His Regards to Chinese Students in Norway

On September 19, Mr. Zhou Jingxing, the Chinese Ambassador to Norway, attended an event celebrating the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China organized by Chinese students in Norway. More than 50 representatives of students and scholars from multiple universities and research institutions in Norway participated.

Ambassador Zhou extended festive greetings to the students and scholars and commended their contributions to promoting China-Norway friendship. He emphasized that the "15th Five-Year Plan" period is a crucial phase for consolidating the foundation and making comprehensive efforts toward basically achieving socialist modernization. High-quality development, especially high-level self-reliance and strength in science and technology, cannot be achieved without the continued efforts of overseas students. Ambassador Zhou encouraged the students in Norway to firm up their ideals and convictions, develop outstanding intellectual capabilities, and contribute more to the great cause of national rejuvenation.

The students and scholars warmly welcomed Ambassador Zhou on assuming his new post and thanked the embassy for the long-standing care and support. They expressed that they will respond to the call of the new era, cherish their study opportunities, devote themselves to learning and research, strive for innovation and creativity, and make new contributions to China-Norway friendly exchanges and cooperation.

A special lecture on safe study abroad was also held at the event.
